Ioannis Ntanos is one of the UK’s leading gender affirmation surgeons, specialising in top surgery for trans men.

 

Born in Thessaloniki, Greece, Dr Ntanos obtained his medical degree from the University of Ovidius in Constanța, Romania in 2002. From there, he returned to Greece to complete his general surgical training and to work as a consultant. In 2010 he completed his oncoplastic training, at the Gustave-Russy Institute, in Paris, France, qualifying him as a specialist breast surgeon. In 2013, he moved to the UK where he took up a surgical position within the NHS.
