Athens Move - Update

As you will be aware, if you have been following my updates, in early summer I packed up my house and made the move - cats and all - from Manchester to Athens.

Although we are not yet settled into our new home, over the past few months I have been busy finalising the details of my local practice, while continuing to travel back to the UK once a month to attend to my patients there.

The nature of summer in Greece is such that things take longer than they do in the UK but I am delighted to say that we are now making good progress.

The hospital I will be operating out of is called Hygeia Hospital, it was the first large private hospital to open in Greece more than forty years ago and it is very well respected.

We will be welcoming our first patients over the coming months and I am now in a position to accept bookings for consultations.

I am excited to be bringing my very own special brand of gender affirming surgery to my native Greece, and to have the opportunity to change a few more hearts and minds along the way.

The cost to have the procedure in Athens will be £6,000, which includes
●      Pre-operative assessment including
○      blood tests
○      ECG (if required)
○      anaesthetic review (where needed)
●      The procedure itself
○      anaesthetist fees
○      an overnight stay (where needed)
●      One review before and one after the operation with either myself or a member of my team.

I have also reduced the cost of my 60 minute consultation fee to £150.

If you would like to book your procedure with me, or if you have any questions, please drop me an email via topsurgeryioannisntanos@gmail.com. Alternatively you can DM me on Instagram @ioannisntanos.

It has long been a dream of mine to be able to offer the trans community in Greece access to the same levels of gender affirming care to which I was striving in the UK. I also hope to be able to offer my services to those UK based individuals who, thanks to the reduced fees, will be better able to access my services.

I look forward to seeing you in sunny Athens.

Ioannis
